What "wagering requirements" actually means
A wagering requirement (also called playthrough or rollover) is how many times you have to bet a bonus before the casino lets you withdraw anything from it. It is written as a multiple, like 5x or 10x. A £20 bonus at 10x means £200 of total bets before a withdrawal is possible. UK licensed casinos cap this at 10x, though you may still see higher numbers on older or non-UK offers, which is why the calculator accepts any figure.
Why the multiple is only half the story
The number that really matters is not the wagering multiple, it is the expected cost of clearing it. Every bet you place carries the game's house edge, so the more you have to wager, the more you expect to hand back on the way through. That is why a big bonus with high wagering can be worth less than a small one with low wagering. This calculator shows both so you can compare like for like.
Game contribution changes the maths
Not every game counts fully towards wagering. Slots usually count 100%, but table games and live casino often count 10% or less, which means you have to bet far more real money to tick off the same requirement. Set the contribution field to match the game you actually plan to play.
